Memory Journal ("the app") is a voice journaling app designed for seniors and individuals experiencing memory loss. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Everything you record stays on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no servers, and no tracking.
None of this information ever leaves your device. It is not uploaded, backed up to our servers (we have none), or shared with anyone.
The app requests access to your device's microphone for one purpose only: recording your voice journal entries. Recordings begin only when you press the record button and stop when you press stop. The app never listens in the background.
You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's Settings. The app will continue to work for playing back existing entries.
If you choose to add photos of family members, the app uses Apple's photo picker solely so you can select those photos. Selected photos are stored locally within the app.
You can delete any entry, family member, or your profile at any time within the app. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all associated data.
The app is designed for adult users, particularly seniors. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 — or from anyone, as the app collects no information at all.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a revised date. Because the app collects no data, changes are expected to be rare.
